Why: I have always shared an odd sense of humour with my friend Dave, at funkypancake.com, and he had is interesting collection of passport photos that he had found. They were interesting because of how he presents them in a dry, witty way. We'd recount stories of life's oddities to each other over a pint. This makes us sound really tedious which I don't think we are but that is not for me to say. He started blogging in about March or April 2003 and encouraged me to have a go. He set me up a site on his domain as part of his webspace and I have lurched along ever since. My blog now resides on my own server for no great reason except it is fun to mess about with a live server I find.
If nobody read it, would I do it? No. I need the following, however small, to do it. But I have had no idea of numbers of users, hits, or what the content should be like thus far although now I have awstats set up I get a feel for it. I guess it will take a certain form over time and then develop into something else and so on. It'll be interesting to see. Trust me on this.
